Yo everyone! this is my own way of motivating myself to study hard!! and that is to put this photo of mine on my table! hahaha! New year means new goals and one of my goals is that i wanna study well for God. Being a student in university is much more different from being a student in Secondary or JC, you're on your own, no fixed classes and tutorials are always changing. So basically, it can be a breeding ground for Christians to backslide because everyone else is so self-centred. Nonetheless, i always believe that God will never let go of you unless you choose to let go of Him.

When i entered into uni, i remembered making a promise to God and that is never let the worldly things replace Him. There was once i encountered this "Club attack" from my hostel friends. What happened was there was this Pageant going on in my hall and it was located at some Club. The committee members went from door to door trying to get people to buy tickets. When they came to my door, I was shocked because they really begged me and i felt "surrounded" all of a sudden. BUT buT BUT, the enemy never got his way. I said no a million times. I was very tempted to go because my friend was one of the nominees for the Pageant. I could simply said yes and just go and support my friends and not drinking. But, my perspective was that if i stepped into the club, how am i going to tell God or tell my youths not to go clubbing? So, i decided to hang on to NO. haha. i felt tensed at that moment but relieved.

This was just one of the incidents that you may face in your life. So let this year be one that you will make a stand for God. Be it lying, drinking, cursing or swearing, etc, be a light and a scholar for Jesus. Wise scholars will only be wise when they choose to obey God.
