SHOUT BOX!

It’s been what…many days after the Thailand missions trip and thou things are back to normal, having to be a humble housewife for now (my parents are in Korea =( and while cleaning the house periodically, I had spine chilling encounters with e fourth kind – creepy crawlies which drop out of nowhere, arrghhhh!) and preparing school stuff for my P3 kids, I feel that I’m living my life with a renewed passion and greater purpose.

So many things went on during missions…

Just like how I was forced to stare at my NEMESIS – lizards! (there were lizards in the hotel room and the house of the Thais ^__^) in the face and refused to let them affect me while ministering for God. In my personal life, I was faced with some aspects of an unpleasant past which God is asking me to move on from. It was difficult and there was a struggle but as I chose to do it, God was faithful and ta da! a breakthrough!

From God’s powerful presence during simple times of worship to praying with faith from His word and stepping out to unknown grounds to share about God, it was AWESOME! =) The Thais also showed me what it means to truly serve God and His people with heartfelt devotion, it really taught me to be more appreciative of people and things around me!

I also saw how the basics (which we take for granted at times) like prayer, worship and turning to Him for everything, are so impt for us to grow and experience the victories God has intended for us!

I learnt so much! And I pray that I’ll reflect all these in my life and inspire those around me!

As I took my first step into the toilet on a sleepy tired night, my heavy eyelids were suddenly lifted up and my eyes widened. Back in NUS hostel, i was known to be the lizard catcher/chaser amongst my friends cos i'm a kampong girl from Malaysia and I AM NOT FEARFUL OF LIZARDS.

BuT BUT BUT, i don't really like it when they suddenly appear in front of you especially when you're in the toilet and you want to brush your smelly teeth! So, with all my might and courage, I took the shower hose and turned the tap to full and BIIISSSSHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! I tried to drown the lizard by using the water to push it into the toilet hole (whatever you call it). I couldnt believe that I killed the lizard that way.

Oh lizard-feared people, let's Praise God. But as I was brushing my teeth and thinking about Lcamp & Mission Trip, I was rather amused by the scene which I just created and thought how appropriate it was to see our lives being occupied by fears sometimes. Mission trip in Thailand was something which God has called me to go beyond my fear of rejection by strangers, fear of language barrier, fear of failure and even fear of riots.

All we did was trust God and He will surely give us strength. Pgary addressed this issue in Lcamp that we all should take the authority of God and pray against the works of the enemy. Friends, this is the season to be victorious and overcome the negative mindsets and fears in our lives. Don't give in to the devil anymore.
Lizards are just lizards, full stop. love deep deep,

Dear IGNTIANS!

How many of you can testify at the ‘Played Out’ event that God’s spirit was really moving in the hearts of your friends?

Our very 1st combined evangelistic event just goes to show that when everyone makes an effort to bring their friends, things can happen. I believe many of you were touched and blessed by the drama. I was personally impacted by the true story of Sister Carol and Brother Eric. You know what? Both of them are true testimony of transformation by the power of God.

Their change in life is not because one fine day they decided to but because they found Jesus and they realized that only He can bring hope and love to change their live. I want you to know when you bring your friends to God; his love will come and change them from the inside out. We thank God for the 60 salvations in IGNYTE ministry, one of the biggest numbers of decisions to date in a single event. Truly, God is moving in our generation.

Prayer is the key to win the spiritual battles against the evil ones. When we pray, the enemy will have to flee because of our faith and authority in Jesus Christ. I want to encourage those whose friends have yet to receive Jesus. 2nd Peter 3:9 says that the Lord is not slow in keeping his promise as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance. God wants your friends to be saved but we must be faithful to witness and to continually war over the souls over our friends.

As the Pastor over IGNYTE ministry, I am proud of all of you. For those who served in the production, who sacrificed time and little sleep. Those who really went all out to do salting at Bishan, salting at the event itself, this is really a happening ministry. May the glory of God continue through this ministry so that all people will be drawn to God, IT IS THE BEGINNING OF THE HARVESTING. Can you say a loud amen? =p

Love you all!

Pastor Gary
