Valentine Special 2

About Love…

Since Valentine’s Day is coming… I guess it’ll be aptly suitable for me to write something about love in my blog here today… As a boy, I like many girls… but out of the many girls, there is only one whom I really love… she’s the one I hope to marry… but this one girl, changes from time to time… I guess it’s either because I lose interest in her after some time (finds out some nasty secret or habit of hers), either that or it’s because she doesn’t love me back… You know, it’s very tiring to love somebody who doesn’t love you back… most times I give up, but sometimes, I really try my very best to make that one girl love me back – so far all such efforts have been in vain. I’m currently still waiting for that special girl to turn up…

While I go on dating in search for my princess, I hope to find her and sweep her up onto my horse like all knights do, save her from the evil big fat fire-breathing dragon and bring her on my adventure… but oftentimes, I wonder if my armor and sword is strong enough to save her from that dragon… what if that dragon kills me? And I wonder what if I save her and she just thanks me and goes off for another man… I guess this is where many men give up on love… they aren’t knights… they’re wimps… they do not want to sacrifice, to fight for their special someone, to at least risk for something wonderful… I guess that’s when they turn to the alternatives of love – the substitutes… like pornography, promiscuity and all those abominations – these are the false princesses…

You know as I grow older, I realize just how real the word infatuation is… you know like crushes… they come and go… so just what is real love? Is it a crazy little thing? Or a knife that leaves the soul bleeding? Or a flower, so beautiful and sweet…

You know right now, I am just a young boy… but I guess I have been looking for love even when I was much younger… Just where do I find love? Is there really a God who has prepared someone for me? Or is there a little angel called cupid going around shooting arrows?

I sure hope to find her soon… where art thou? my wasabi pea in a jar of green peas… my special one… : )
