Was talking to someone yesterday and the word 'Gooseberry' came out.  Decided to do some research and here's the Cambridge Dictionary definition:
- a small yellowish-green fruit covered with short hairs, which grows on a bush and has a sour taste:
- to be an unwanted third person who is present when two other people, especially two lovers, want to be alone
 That was really interesting as I never knew about the 2nd definition.  My first encounter with the gooseberry was a pleasant one - it was place as a decoration on my birthday cake - and it really caught my eye - a rare fruit that gave the cake an exquisite look.  Here:
I was so intrigued by it that I took it with the cake- it had a nice refreshing taste to it.  It is a good source of vitamin C and fibre too, and certainly - when used in the right place - brought 'icing' on the cake.
My point? :-)  Well - it's interesting why would the second definition come about at all... but I'm sure it has its history. Important thing?  We are all created special in God's sight - no one is an UNWANTED. :-)
Ps 139:14
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.

Life is fragile. Reading some of the articles on paper today - you'll catch the drift... NTU prof encounter with the student... infant in plastic bag found in riser...sighh.... never take life for granted.  I'm glad to here...ALIVE. Though sometimes we wonder how we barely make it? :\

And as I was looking through some of my photos again - this macro shot reminded me that life can be resilient!  I believe God has given us the will to live, the will to fight for what we believe in - no matter how harsh the environment may be. Apostle Paul said, "I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow..."  Yes. God will cause us to grow into the destiny He has for us - if we would only believe in it, fight for it - HANG on to it.

Hold on to Your Destiny In Eternity!  :-)

Was driving Kendrick home the other day and stumbled upon a moment that I wish I could just  freeze and bottle to revisit over and over again....
"RAAAAINBOOOOW!"  came the excited cute little voice from my VIP (very important passenger) behind. I looked up...(and I'm sure many other drivers did the same as the traffic ground to a halt)...  there was not just one...but TWO rainbows. WOW. Double WOW.

Maybe it's just me and my family - but we do get really excited with God's paintwork in the sky...whether it's sunrise, sunset, or just plain patterned clouds.  What an escape - for a moment- away from the routine of life, the peak hour traffic, the disappointments of the day...and to be reminded that God is still interested in the us. :')

"Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth."
